Units define the measurement reference used for products and help organize product management throughout SUIGEST360.

Each unit has a unique reference and can be associated with multiple catalog products.

Creation

Create a new unit.

A unit can be created by entering its name and, when required, a description.

  • Automatically generated code
  • Required name
  • Maximum 255 characters for name
  • Optional description
  • Active by default
Unit code

Use an automatic reference.

SUIGEST360 automatically assigns a sequential reference to every new unit.

  • UNT prefix
  • Six digits
  • First reference UNT-000001
  • Automatic increment
  • Code preview before saving
  • Code cannot be edited from the form
Example: UNT-000001, UNT-000002, UNT-000003.
Information

Define unit information.

Each unit contains the essential information required for its use in the catalog.

  • Unit code
  • Unit name
  • Optional description
  • Status
Status

Activate or deactivate a unit.

The status indicates whether the unit is currently active.

  • Active
  • Inactive
  • New units active by default
  • Status can be changed later
Details

View a unit profile.

The unit profile brings together its general information, indicators and products using the unit.

  • Unit name

  • Status

Indicators

Monitor products using the unit.

The unit profile automatically calculates several indicators from associated products.

  • Total products
  • Active products

Related products

Browse products using the unit.

The unit profile displays products currently associated with this unit.

  • Product code
  • Designation
  • Barcode
  • Category
  • Brand
  • Active or inactive status
Editing

Edit a unit.

Unit information can be updated without changing its automatically generated reference.

  • Code remains read-only
  • Change name
  • Change description
  • Activate or deactivate
Deletion

Delete an unused unit.

A unit can only be deleted when no product uses it.

  • Confirmation before deletion
  • Related products checked
  • Deletion allowed when no product uses the unit
  • Deletion rejected when at least one product uses the unit
This protection prevents deletion of a unit that is still being used by a product.
